The Wharton Memorial Foundation Bower Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization located in historic downtown Bedford,Va. at the base of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The Bower Center serves the greater Bedford community by promoting artistic and cultural activities and provides education in the arts. In addition the Wharton Memorial Foundation preserves two historical Virgina landmarks and maintains the Wharton Memorial Garden.

New Exhibit Opening September 7th!
On September 7th our new exhibit will open showcasing the fine art of Lynchburg artist NancyJ. Wood and Richmond artist Lucio Valverde.You don't want to miss the fine works of these talented artists. The artist reception will be Friday, September 9th, to coincide with Bedford's Second Friday.
