The Wharton Memorial Foundation Bower Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization located in historic downtown Bedford,Va. at the base of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The Bower Center serves the greater Bedford community by promoting artistic and cultural activities and provides education in the arts. In addition the Wharton Memorial Foundation preserves two historical Virgina landmarks and maintains the Wharton Memorial Garden.

Singing Groups Being Formed!
Do you like to sing and enjoy singing with others? We have a great new offering at the Bower Center! Karen Nichols, musician/singer/songwriter and of Mountain Lark Music is busy forming youth and adult singing groups. The Mountain Larks, a youth choir will meet Saturday mornings 10:30 AM to 11:30 Am. The Blue Ridge Voices, an adult choir, will also meet Saturdays, 12:00 Noon - 1:15 PM. Both groups are just being formed so there is plenty time for you to tune up the vocal chords and come to the Bower. Karen will be conducting both groups. She has a wonderful selection of songs and assures a most harmonious experience!
