The Bedford County High Schools art exhibit reception is this evening
from 6-pm to 8pm. Also, Dotti Stone's mosaic art class will be in session.
Last evening the Goose Creek Studio & Gallery held a preview reception
for Bedford's 2nd Friday at 302 Court St, which will become their new
location in August. Until then, owners Patrick Ellis and Mitchell Bond will be showcasing work by many different local artists on 2nd Fridays and a few select Monday mornings. The place looked fresh and open which really made the art work show beautifully. Goose Greek Studio is still open at their 330 W. Washington St. location. For their website; see our Links & Chains!
The Wharton Memorial Foundation Bower Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization located in historic downtown Bedford,Va. at the base of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The Bower Center serves the greater Bedford community by promoting artistic and cultural activities and provides education in the arts. In addition the Wharton Memorial Foundation preserves two historical Virgina landmarks and maintains the Wharton Memorial Garden.
