The Wharton Memorial Foundation Bower Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization located in historic downtown Bedford,Va. at the base of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The Bower Center serves the greater Bedford community by promoting artistic and cultural activities and provides education in the arts. In addition the Wharton Memorial Foundation preserves two historical Virgina landmarks and maintains the Wharton Memorial Garden.

PICTURE PERFECT! NEW PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB
The Bedford Photography Club's picked "Memorials" as a theme for the month of May. With that, it was only fitting this would include a shoot at the D-Day Memorial who graciously allowed the newly formed club access to the grounds early on the morning of May 14th. The group initially anticipated a wonderful sunrise but rains created a fog and mist which in retrospect was more reminiscent of the actual conditions that morning of June 6th, 1944.
