The Photography Club had a great meeting the other night. Dotti Stone, the artist in residence at the Bower Center began the meeting with a proposal to have a group exhibition at the Bower Center sometime next year. It was a
very exciting proposal and the invitation was accepted. Patrick Ellis and
Mitchell Bond, owners of Goose Creek Studio, gave a wonderful presentation on exhibition framing. They gave the group great tips on specifically framing photographs for exhibition. Next month's theme for the group will be 'shadows and textures'.
The Wharton Memorial Foundation Bower Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization located in historic downtown Bedford,Va. at the base of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The Bower Center serves the greater Bedford community by promoting artistic and cultural activities and provides education in the arts. In addition the Wharton Memorial Foundation preserves two historical Virgina landmarks and maintains the Wharton Memorial Garden.
